Applied Kinesiology (AK)
Nutritional Testing (Deficiencies, Toxicities, Allergies, Infections, etc.)
AK is a diagnostic technique that allows trained doctors to test the neurologic integrity of the body via testing and restoring muscle strength. Modern AK testing originated in the 1960’s with work of Dr. George Goodheart. All true corrections to the nervous system (as opposed to treatments that force the body deeper into adaptation) free-up energy that is used to heal. To read more please visit our Applied Kinesiology page.
Dr. McCloskey learned under the direct training of Applied Kinesiology pioneer Michael Lebowitz, D.C. Dr. Lebowitz’s groundbreaking research into using Applied Kinesiology to assess food allergies, acute and hidden infections and nutritional deficiencies has helped thousands of patients around the world. See Supreme Nutrition Products for more information. You can also read more about this on our Applied Kinesiology page.
Neurologic Rehabilitation
Lymphatic Stimulation
The lymphatic system is your body’s second circulatory system. It washes away waste products which are too large for your blood vessels. While your circulatory system has a built-in pump (your heart), your lymph is only pumped through exercise. In today’s stressful, polluted world, the chance that some of your lymph nodes are congested and toxic is greater than most people realize. Using Applied Kinesiology, Dr. McCloskey is able to locate your body’s “weakest link;” organs and glands that are showing signs of stress. Along with chiropractic adjustments, nervous system rehabilitation and nutritional support, recirculating this stagnant lymph is one of the powerful ways we use to reset your body where it is most stressed.
Muscular Rehabilitation
X-Rays
Imaging including X-rays and advanced imaging (such as MRI’s, CT scans, diagnostic ultrasounds) are referred as necessary by Dr. McCloskey to either Community Hospital or one of several participating medical offices in Grand Junction. Dr. McCloskey is also trained in Gonstead X-ray measuring technique to assess for the need for heel lift orthotics. These inexpensive inserts are only recommended in about 10%-20% of patient’s measured X-rays. Patient’s report that they often greatly relieve the pain and mechanical stress caused by conditions such as scoliosis, a congenital short leg, or a sacral base deformity. These conditions are often undiagnosed without simple, low cost X-Rays.
The more stressed your body is, the more it becomes overwhelmed by stimulus. An interesting phenomena is that taking too many nutritional supplements, even high quality herbs, vitamins and oils, can overwhelm a stressed nervous system. Our testing targets the priority issues burdening the nervous system at the current time and seeks to ensure a high level of tolerance of all nutritional supplements.

The pain and symptoms caused by many conditions often stems from stress on the central nervous system. That stress can be triggered by a number of factors including physical trauma (recent or in the past), chemical toxicity (including heavy metal poisoning), psychological stress, hidden infections, hormone imbalances or genetic predispositions. If the initial testing shows that you could be accepted as a patient, additional testing will be run to track down the triggers that are causing the problem to begin with.
Many of these conditions are misdiagnosed or even mistreated and may lead to years of unnecessary pain and suffering. That is why our clinic offers the initial consultation and first meningeal decompression test completely free of charge, to determine whether you would qualify to move on to the next phases of care with no obligations.
